OneVue MD wins prestigious Money Management award

Last night in Sydney, the managing director of OneVue, Connie Mckeage, was named Woman of the Year at the seventh annual Women in Financial Services Awards.

Hosted by Money Management, Super Review and Financial Express and sponsored by PIMCO, the awards aim to recognise the women working in financial services who’ve made a significant and positive impact on their industry. Throughout the course of the evening, women in insurance, financial advice, superannuation and banking were awarded for their contributions.

In accepting the coveted Woman of the Year award, Connie acknowledged the nominees and winners in the audience, saying they should be “incredibly proud of what [they] have achieved to date and what [they] will no doubt continue to contribute to the industry in the future.”

She also credited financial services not only with introducing her to her partner of 35 years, Michael Cole, but also credit financial services for showing her how to save and invest.

She then shared six lessons she shared with the audience about her experience in financial services, touching on topics such as interpersonal relationships, mental health, recovering from failure and the importance of having a strong and supportive team.

She concluded by quoting Winston Churchill, saying her award is a “testament to the fact that success is not final, failure is not fatal but it is the courage to continue that matters most.”
